Nissan Frontier Forsberg Edition Gets Baja Racing-Inspired Upgrades

The Nissan Frontier is getting a level up in the off-roading department with a new Forsberg Edition package, a dealership-installed list of add-ons inspired by Forsberg Racing’s own version of the midsize pickup.
The Nissan Frontier Forsberg Edition is an accessory package that can be installed on any new or used Frontier, 2022 model year and up. Many of the parts found in this kit are found in Forsberg Racing’s own design, a Frontier that was modified to race in, and won, the 2023 NORRA 500.
So, what does it take to turn your average Frontier into a Baja-running pickup? A lot of NISMO parts, for one, as the kit includes a NISMO off-road suspension lift, forged upper control arms, high-performance shocks and 17-inch Axis beadlock wheels wrapped in Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires. Underneath, a NISMO cat-back exhaust is bolted up, along with a set of rock sliders. Topside, a roof rack with embedded LED lighting is mounted for good measure; and, like any proper limited edition model, special decals and badging are applied– in this case, Forsberg Racing elements, naturally, adorn the body.
As mentioned, this special package pays tribute to Forsberg Racing’s victory at the NORRA 500. Owner and driver Chris Forsberg, joined by Yokohama teammate Leticia Bufoni, entered the 2023 race, securing the gold medal in the stock production class.
“Our championship win at the NORRA 500 was a testament to the capabilities of the Nissan Frontier with NISMO Off Road parts and Yokohama Geolandar tires,” said Forsberg. “We took a stock truck outfitted with NISMO Off Road parts and drove it from the shop in Southern California to the event, raced across the Baja desert for 500 miles, and drove it back home to the shop without an issue. It’s thrilling to know that more drivers will be able to experience a taste of the rugged performance that propelled our success in the NORRA 500.”
And how much does that rugged performance of NORRA 500 fame cost? Nissan has priced the package at $9,999. Customers can have this package installed on 2022 and newer Frontiers when it becomes available fall 2024.
