We recently reported on the updated pricing for the Kia Niro Hybrid, which saw a relatively minor bump in pricing for the ‘24 model year. At the time, we teased the eventual pricing for the Niro Plug-In Hybrid, which Kia has officially announced, starting at $35,615.

This price is for the more affordable of two trims, the EX grade, and includes Kia’s $1,325 destination charge. The next step up is for the SX Touring, which starts at $41,365. For those wondering, this does represent a $450 price increase for both grades when compared to the 2023 model year.

And when making that comparison, you’ll also find that the 2024 Niro PHEV is essentially unchanged from last year. The only difference is that Fire Orange Metallic has been dropped, a loss similarly reflected on the Niro Hybrid. All PHEVs are still powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, paired up with its plug-in system for a combined output of 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The 11.1 kilowatt-hour battery pack can carry this subcompact utility about 33 miles on EV power.

And speaking of EVs, the Niro EV will return for 2024; however, pricing on that model is yet to be confirmed. The 2023 Kia Niro EV started at $40,875, so we suspect ‘24 pricing to remain in the same ballpark after a likely similar price bump.
