The Nissan Sentra Still (Sorta) Starts Under $20K
Nissan has released pricing for the 2023 Sentra compact sedan, starting at $19,950.
That price nets an entry-level Sentra S and does not include Nissan’s $1,095 destination charges. Tack that on and you’re looking at a going rate of $21,045– still a welcomed sight in a time of growing MSRPs and dreaded markups.
The 2023 Sentra is available in two other trims, the SV and SR. They start, with delivery, at $22,265 and $23,935 respectively. Each one is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, sending 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque to the Xtronic CVT. The S and SV are EPA-estimated at 29 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 33 mpg combined. The SR, however, gets a slight bump down to 28 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined.
The SV trim adds heated exterior mirrors, Nissan Intelligent Key access, upgraded cloth seats and two more speakers, among other additions. Some of the SV grade’s notable changes include dark chrome exterior accents, 18-inch wheels, LED headlights and matching fog lights, sport cloth interior with orange stitching, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
All trims come standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, consisting of six driver-assistance systems, like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. While the S is given a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, the other two trims bump it up to 8-inches; though, both units come with smartphone integration. Similar story with the digital driver’s display, measuring 4.2-inches in the S and 7-inches in the SV and SR.
