Telsa’s First SUV, the Model X, Debuts
Telsa CEO Elon Musk unveiled the highly anticipated Tesla Model X during a special launch event held at their Fremont factory. The Model X is the first sport utility vehicle in the history of the brand. Designed with consumer safety in mind, Model X features include all-wheel drive, collision avoidance systems with automatic braking, and a 90 kWh battery providing 250 miles of range. Seating for six or seven adults is available, and the Falcon Wing doors allow easier access to the second and third rows. 0-60 acceleration is estimated at 3.2 seconds for the high performance P90D model.
Telsa is currently taking reservations for the Model X. The estimated delivery is late 2016.
