Tesla will have a new facility to make electric vehicles. Reuters is reporting Tesla has signed an agreement to build a factory in Shanghai, China. This will be Tesla’s first Gigafactory outside of the United States. Building Teslas in China will help get around the tarfiff dispute between the U.S. and China, bringing the price down for Chinese consumers. It’s not clear when the plant will open, but Reuters is reporting Tesla plans to build 500,000 cars a year and is already hiring.
