Ford is making their Super Duty super capable off-road. They’re announcing the all-new Tremor Off-Road Package. The idea is for a heavy duty truck that can also play in tough terrain. So they’ve included an upgraded suspension, a 2-inch front-end lift, a 31.65 degree approach angle and a 24.51 degree departure angle. Ground clearance is 10.8 inches which helps with the of 33 inches of water fording.
Rolling on the tough terrain will be 35-inch-diameter Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac maximum-traction tires wrapped around 18-inch matte-finished black wheels. There’s also off-road running boards to reduce damage.
Things can change quickly when you’re off-road, so the Super Duty gets Trail Control. It’s not new to Ford… we’ve seen it on the F-150 Raptor and Ranger, but it is a first for Super Duty. Trail Control functions in any mode like cruise control for off-road driving.
Ford says the Tremor Off-Road Package will be available when the 2020 Super Duty launches later this year.
