Stelvio Sticker, Porsche Milestone, & NY Self-Driving
May 11, 2017
New York will be another proving ground for self-driving cars. Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced the state is now accepting applications from companies interested in testing autonomous vehicles on public roads. There are some rules they must follow, like having a licensed driver in the driver’s seat when the car is on public highways, and a $5 million dollar insurance policy. The one year pilot program expires April 1, 2018.
A big moment for Porsche fans. The one-millionth 911 model rolled off the production line in Germany. An “Irish Green” Carrera S marked the milestone. Unfortunately, you can’t buy it. It will end up in the Porsche Museum. Before that, it makes a world tour, so you may get a chance to see it.
Alfa Romeo has released an important fact about the new Stelvio: the price.Thepremium mid-size SUV starts at $41,995. The Stelvio Ti will cost you $43,995. You still have time to save up. They go on sale this summer. If you want the Stelvio Quadrifoglio you’ll have to be a little more patient. Pricing and timing will be announced later this year.
