Car buyers consider many factors, including dependability. J.D. Power has released the results of their annual Vehicle Dependability Study. Lexus ranks highest in overall vehicle dependability among all brands for the eighth consecutive year. Researchers say Porsche and Toyota are tied for second. Chevrolet and Buick round out the top five.
The survey is also showing some trends. For the first time in the 30-years J.D. Power has been conducting this study all Germany brands are better than the industry average. They rank the Porsche 911 as the Most Dependable Model. It’s the first year they’re handing out that award. The 2019 J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study is based on responses from 32,952 original owners of 2016 model year vehicles after three years of ownership.
