Over 300 Mile Range Confirmed for Ford’s Mustang-Inspired EV SUV
April 4, 2019
As the Ford brand moves away from internal combustion power and traditional sedans, they are moving headlong into the still evolving world of electrified utility vehicles for both here and abroad. While Ford has made it clear that a Mustang flavored crossover was coming, little else was known. Now, a big detail has surfaced. At a recent “Go Electric” event in Amsterdam, Ford said the new EV SUV would have a range of 370 miles based on the European cycle. That could translate into a range of well over 300 miles on the U.S. EPA driving cycle. That would make it competitive with the Tesla Model X. We also already know that the as yet unnamed vehicle will be very fast, again like the X. Now, it is just a matter of when? The answer to that is “…sometime next year.”
