Nissan Strategy, Fleet Tour, & Indy Pace Car
May 8, 2017
The all-new 2017 Nissan Titan pickup truck is available nationwide, but Automotive News is reporting Nissan will focus their early marketing efforts on just four cities: Dallas, Houston, Phoenix and Salt Lake City, and move on to other markets when they are satisfied with the results.
It’s no secret that commercial fleets are a big source of sales for carmakers, some embracing them more than others. FCA is hoping to drum up some fleet business by kicking off an 8-week, 24-city tour highlighting what they have to offer to large businesses, government agencies, and rental car companies. Vehicles will include the 2017 Jeep Compass and the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. It all starts tomorrow; you can see the schedule here.
Chevrolet has just announced the Corvette Grand Sport will be the official pace car of this year’s Indianapolis 500. This will be the 14th time a Corvette has led the field to the green flag in the 101 years of the race. This year’s “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” takes place May 28th.
