The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opens investigation into 1 million FCA trucks for possible rollaway risk. Automotive News reports that the U.S. government run agencty has concerns over 2013-16 Ram 1500 pickups and 2014-16 Dodge Durango SUVs for rollaway risks. These vehicles all have the rotary-style shifter, which was not the one subjected to FCA's big recall earlier this year. NHTSA recommends setting the parking vrake before leaving the vehicles, until a fix is found.


Honda is setting out (on) a new Odyssey for the Detroit Auto Show. The new generation will make its global debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 9. Honda says, "the 5th-generation 2018 Honda Odyssey has been completely redesigned and will feature new powertrain technology, sophisticated styling and showcase a new suite of innovative features, making it the ultimate in family-friendly design and packaging." They've sold almost 2.5 million of the minivans since its debut in 1994. Here's a sketch of the 2018 Odyssey that Honda released:
