Land Rover has teased their new Defender 130 ahead of its March 31st reveal.

So far, we know the Defender 130 will be able to seat eight occupants in a new three-row configuration. The new utility will traverse both highway and highgrounds alike with a 4x4 drive system, though exact powertrain details are yet to be disclosed.

Land Rover claims the new Defender will have “the latest digital technologies and advanced integrated chassis technologies.” What this refers to is unclear, but our recent coverage of the new Range Rover highlighted some of the updated onboard trail tech, like cameras, drive modes, and adjustable air suspension.

The Defender 130 will join the ranks of the currently-available two-door Defender 90 and 4-door 110. Orders are slated to open up on May 31st-- same day as the reveal, which we’ll cover here on MotorWeek!
