Nissan is charging up the EV market with the 2018 LEAF. The company unveiled the newly designed car in Las Vegas. It features a longer driving range: 150-miles. Technology improves as well, with e-Pedal for one pedal driving and Nissan’s hands on ProPILOT Assist. Nissan says the 2018 LEAF will be in dealerships across the country early next year. The price starts at $29,990.
Some important numbers are showing up on the internet about the new Tesla Model 3. Electrek.com says a Monroney sticker on TMC says the Tesla Model 3 with the long range battery pack has a 310-mile range, and 126 MPGe. As we’ve reported, the version available now has a long range battery with rear-wheel drive and premium upgrades, starting at $49,000. Tesla has said they expect the standard model starting at $35,000 before incentives to be available in November.
As MotorWeek gears up for the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show we have our eye on what Mercedes-Benz will bring to the floor. One of the cars we’ll be watching for is the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE, which will make its world premiere. The company says the two-seater super sports show car has “fully-fledged Formula 1 hybrid technology”. They say the 1000 horsepower high-performance hybrid has a top speed of more than 217 mph.
