BMW has just released photos and specs for its new fourth–generation X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, due to enter production in Spartanburg, South Carolina this November.  The new X5 is dimensionally larger all-around and sports a new exterior design featuring pronounced wheel arch lips, a strong side character line and edgier roofline.  Four engine options include a gas V-8 along with gas and two diesel inline-sixes. An off-road package with two-axle air suspension and chassis guards is a first for BMW’s X lineup.
