With so many wish lists hoping to be fulfilled this time of year, here’s something to add to the list of Mustang fans. Ford has announced they’ll produce a limited number of the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R models with the Heritage Edition Package. These fastbacks will feature the classic Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top race stripes. GT350R models will have all-black seats with red accent stitching.
The inspiration comes from the 1965 GT350 competition model developed by Carroll Shelby. Ken Miles drove the car to victory at Green Valley Raceway in Texas on February 14, 1965.
As MotorWeek has been reporting, the Shelby GT350 received upgrades this year, including a revised front chassis geometry, antilock braking and MagneRide. The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350 starts at $60,440, with the GT350R beginning at $73,435. The Heritage Edition Package adds $1,965. You can order it now, but Santa won’t deliver it until the spring.
