Mitsubishi Motors North America plans to offer a new package for their 2022 Outlander SUV: the Black Edition.

This package modifies the vehicle’s exterior appearance with various pieces of black trim and black finishes. All Black Edition models will include all SE trim equipment, plus dual-zone climate control and a power panoramic sunroof.

The main most noticeable feature of the package may be the special 20-inch alloy wheels, finished in a glossy black. The front and rear bumpers are adorned with blacked out garnishes; the side profiles are contrasted by black mirrors and door handle trims. Exterior paint options include Cosmic Blue, Red Diamond, White Diamond, Black Diamond, Labrador Black Pearl, Alloy Silver, and Mercury Gray.

Inside, the package throws in a black headliner and matching pillars. This blends with the standard black synthetic leather seats and darkened trim pieces used throughout. Some additional options on Black Edition models include an All-Weather package, which throws in some floor mats and a cargo liner, Door Ground Illumination, which adds LED welcome lights, and Grille and Ground Illumination, adding LED lights around the front grille.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander (without Black Edition package)

The 2022 Outlander Black Edition will be powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine, paired with an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT). Together, they drive the vehicle’s front-wheel drive or optional  “Super All-wheel Control” all-wheel drive system.

After adding their $1,245 destination charge, the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Black Edition will start at $31,240 for the front-wheel model; all-wheel drive models start at $33,040.
