MINI USA Lineup Sees Price Increase on Five Models; Equipment Changes Announced
MINI USA has released starting prices for their entire 2023 lineup, which includes a $500 increase across just five of their Cooper models. Those models include the Cooper Hardtop 2- and 4-door, the Cooper Convertible, the Cooper Countryman, and the Cooper Countryman ALL4. Starting prices for all other models remain the same, including the performance-oriented John Cooper Works variants. MINI claims the minimal change will further enhance accessibility and value for customers. The 2023 MINI Cooper Hardtop 2-door begins at $24,250, which includes the $850 destination charge. The new model year boasts a series of new features and options; MINI has included Apple CarPlay-compatibility as standard across all models. For the first time ever, a full range of special editions across the entire model lineup is being launched, including the recently-reported Resolute, Untold and Untamed editions, as well as the Brick Lane Cooper S. The previously convertible-exclusive “Zesty Yellow” paint option is now available on the Cooper S, JCW Hardtop 2-door and certain trims of the Cooper S Hardtop 4-door. MINI has also expanded upon last year’s multi-tone roof option by adding two more combinations: Multi-tone White and Multi-tone Red, available for all hardtops in the Signature and Iconic trims. The MINI Cooper SE Electric can also be finished in Island Blue (Signature and Iconic trims); however, the Rooftop Gray option is no longer available.
On all hardtops and convertibles, the Driver Assistance package has been modified to include Park Assist and MINI’s heads-up display feature; Active Cruise Control has been separated from the package, now offered as a standalone option. This change allows for prospective buyers to add the Driver Assistance package to their order regardless of which transmission they chose. Speaking of, a 6-speed manual transmission is still available on eight models: the Cooper 2- and 4-door Hardtop, Cooper S 2- and 4-door Hardtop, the JCW 2-door Hardtop, Cooper and Cooper S Convertible, and the front-wheel drive Cooper S Clubman. The JCW Convertible comes exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission. All models are slated for production starting in March 2022, with more details arriving on each model and special edition closer to launch.
