MINI readying production of first PHEV
October 17, 2016
For the first time MINI drivers will soon be able to make their petrol bills a little smaller.
The British car company has announced its first plug-in hybrid model. It features a combustion engine and an electric motor - electric power for the rear wheels, and the combustion for the front.
Electric driving will come with 3 choices, including one that saves the charge on the battery. The high-voltage battery will be nestled under the rear seats. MINI says electric driving can reach speeds up to 77 miles an hour.
The company revealed they’re almost finished with the development process for the plug-in hybrid.
