We already know the all-new Mustang Shelby GT500 is the most powerful street-legal Ford ever built.  Now there are numbers to back that up.  Ford says this mighty Mustang will go 0-100-0 in 10.6 seconds.  The 760-horsepower 5.2-liter V8 gets a lot of the credit.  It sends 625 ft.-lb. of torque through a Tremec 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.  Stopping power comes from 16.5-inch rotors up front. 

Five drive modes allow you to personalize all that force… from normal to track.  Choose your mode and Ford says there are noticeable changes, including ride dampening, stability control, antilock brake modulation, and steering feel.  Your neighbors will notice the difference too… mode changes affect exhaust sound.  Ford Performance Powertrain Manager Pat Morgan describes it as, “a full multisensory visceral experience”.  We can’t wait.
