On the eve of press days at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show Mercedes-Benz is giving us a little more to look forward to. Last week we told you the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE will make its world premiere. The company is now revealing another view of the two-seater super sports show car with “fully-fledged Formula 1 hybrid technology”. They say the 1000 horsepower high-performance hybrid has a top speed of more than 217 mph. Meantime, Reuters is reporting Mercedes-Benz will offer an electric motor version on models throughout its line-up by 2022.
Audi plans to show advances in autonomous driving at Frankfurt. We expect to see the new Audi A8. The company says “conditional automated driving” at level 3 is standard. They also will be demonstrating level 4 and level 5 autonomous driving.
Volvo is charging ahead with technology. The company has bought US based premium valet and concierge service Luxe. The deal includes the Luxe platform, technology, and key staff. Volvo says that will give them a “major boost in the development of digital services”.
