McLaren is giving us more reasons to look forward to the Geneva International Motor Show. The new McLaren Senna will make its public debut. We first saw images in December. The road-legal track car is a ‘Carbon Theme’ bespoke project by McLaren Special Operations. It combines a gloss Visual Carbon Fiber body with Carbon Black Alcantara interior trim. Hybrid Carbon Fiber Wheels will be an option. The debut is scheduled for next week.
Lexus is apparently anxious to show off their new urban compact crossover. They’ve released this video of the Lexus UX. A week ago all we saw was a teaser picture of the rear. With most new reveals, the design usually gets the attention at first. Lexus says underneath is an all-new platform that gives the UX “exceptional body rigidity and a low center of gravity”. We’ll see it in person March 6th in Geneva.
Ford is taking their self-driving ambitions to the crowded streets of Miami. Part of their research involves working with companies using autonomous vehicles to provide deliveries to customers. They’re working with Dominos, and plan a similar collaboration with Postmates in March. What they learn will go into building what Ford calls a “purpose-built self-driving vehicle” they hope to launch in 2021.
