It’s no secret that Jeep will soon join the rush to electrification, but at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, we’ll all get a clearer vision of their intent. FCA is using CES 2020 to showcase its advanced technologies such as electrification as well as connectivity. Their display will feature a plug-in Jeep Renegade and Compass, similar to the ones unveiled at last year’s Geneva Motor Show. But new will be an electrified Wrangler that promises no compromise in abilities despite getting an EV boost. With that Jeep has also announced that all electrified Jeeps will carry the “4xe” badge to signify the marriage between their new power source and old capabilities. The Geneva PHEV concepts were fitted with a turbocharged 1.3-liter gas engine with specifications indicating an EV-only range of 31 miles. All three vehicles are expected to enter production by the end of this year with more details forthcoming at traditional international auto shows this spring.
