The speculation is over. Chinese automaker Great Wall is the one interested in doing a deal with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Automotive News is reporting Great Wall is interested in buying Jeep. They quote Great Wall President Wang Fengying saying they’re "connecting with FCA". A company spokesperson explained more saying Great Wall has not made a formal offer nor have they met with FCA board members. The spokesperson told Automotive News Jeep would help Great Wall’s goal of becoming the world's largest SUV maker.
Volkswagen is drawing on the past to embrace future power sources. The company says they will put the Volkswagen I.D. BUZZ concept car into production. We first showed you the fully electric microbus in Detroit earlier this year. Volkswagen is targeting markets in North America, Europe and China. The company says the I.D. BUZZ will arrive at dealerships in 2022.
