It wasn’t too long ago when we gave the refreshed 2024 Jeep Wrangler a First Drive shakedown, and it won’t be long until we give a final verdict in our season 43 Road Test! Even just from looking at the spec sheets, we knew it would be plenty more capable for the average off-road enthusiast. That’s now being taken one trailhead further with the introduction of three new upfit packages from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).

All three options– the Upcountry, Upcountry+ and Level II– can be had on the 2024 Wrangler Rubicon; the first two, however, can be had on the Willys trim for the first time.

As expected, all kits come with a slew of AEV parts, like the unique wheels and jack base, but there are JPP/Mopar parts included as well, like flare extensions and a spare tire relocation kit. And not just for show, the AEV kits come with serious off-road treads.

Starting with the Upcountry upfit, expect 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain KO2 tires wrapping satin black wheels, joined by a 2.0-inch suspension lift. You’ll also find a special AEV plaque alongside the aforementioned Mopar parts, plus a few other goodies to round out this $7,476 upgrade.

The Upcountry+ adds an AEV front bumper and skid plate, off-road camera relocation kit and a non-winch cover plate on top of the Upcountry additions. You’ll also find an AEV swing-gate badge accompanying the AEV plaque. This kit also ups the ante to $11,599.

The final step, the AEV Level II Rubicon upfit, is for the all-out off-roader looking for the next step up for their Rubicon. On top of all the AEV body parts, this upfit brings a 2.5-inch DualSport suspension setup with Bilstein 5100 shocks, 37-inch KO2 tires, AEV 7000 series lights and a Warn Zeon 10-S winch. And as expected, Upcountry+ add-ons are included. This package will cost a cool $20,049 or $22,099 if a Rubicon 4xe is the donor car (this price also includes a 4.56 gear upgrade).

Vehicles will ship directly from Jeep’s Toledo Assembly Complex to the AEV magic house for their transformation. From there, they’ll go to the customer’s dealer of choice. Speaking of, prospective buyers can place their orders through their local dealers this month.
