Jaguar I-Pace Is On The Road, TomTom Expands The View, INFINITI’s New Design Leader

Autonomous cars will have a clearer vision of the road. TomTom has announced it has completed expanding its High Definition Map. They say it now covers the entire mainland US interstate network. That’s 115,000 miles. The digital map helps automated vehicles precisely locate themselves on the road.
A new person will be crafting how vehicles look at INFINITI. Karim Habib has been named Head of INFINITI Design. He’ll lead the company’s global design teams. Habib brings design experience he gained working at BMW and Daimler AG. He begins his new duties July 1, 2017.
Jaguar is moving a concept closer to the real world. The new Jaguar I-PACE is driving on the streets of London for the first time. MotorWeek first showed you the concept at the LA Auto Show in November. This is Jaguar’s first electric vehicle. They say it has a targeted range of approximately 220 miles on EPA test cycles. The Jaguar I-PACE is expected to go on sale the second half of 2018.
