Hyundai has released images of its redesigned Elantra compact sedan ahead of its formal unveiling in L.A. next week. The renderings show a far more dynamic exterior and a fairly minimalist but driver oriented cockpit. The apparent goal of this 7th generation car is to attract sedan buyers with unusually daring styling in what is often a boring class of vehicle. This is a path that others including the Honda Civic are also charting. The interior suggests a wrap-around theme for the driver, but with a nod to the uncluttered look of a Tesla. The car will be unveiled on March 17th.
