Honda Odyssey Receives First “Sport” Trim
The Honda Odyssey minivan will receive its first-ever Sport trim for the 2023 model year. The Odyssey Sport fits between the EX-L and Touring trims, and will feature bespoke parts both inside and out. The powertrain, however, is congruent with the rest of the Odyssey lineup: a V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission sending 280 horsepower to the front-wheel drive system.
Outside, the most noticeable changes are the blacked-out grille, darkened taillights and Berlina Black 19-inch wheels. Other trimmings include the headlight and fog light surrounds, door mirrors, and the B- and C-pillars. Paint options include Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl and Radiant Red Metallic, as well as an Odyssey-first: Sonic Gray Pearl. The cabin is finished in black leather with red accent stitching, found on first and second row seats, and extending onto the steering wheel. The roof pillars and headlines are also black, contrasted by red ambient lighting on the dash, and in the footwells, door handles and door pockets. The 2023 Honda Odyssey Sport will start at $42,505, which includes the $1,295 destination charge. New models are expected to reach dealerships as early as May 23rd, though it is unclear if this date includes the Odyssey Sport.
