General Motors is taking a big step forward with renewable energy, this time with its buildings.
The automaker has announced plans to use 100 percent renewable energy as the source of all electrical power in its facilities worldwide. Those energy sources include wind, solar, and landfill gas. The company has already embarked on renewable energy efforts. They say they save $5 million a year using renewable energy.
General Motors has 350 operations in 59 countries, and hopes to achieve its renewable energy goal by 2050.
