Two German competitors are making a big investment together for the future. BMW Group and Daimler AG will invest more than $1.1 billion in joint mobility services. Their collaboration will result in five services: car-sharing, ride-hailing, parking, charging and multimodal transport services. This partnership allows the two premium automakers to pool their resources to focus on cities, where they believe “the future of mobility will be decided”.
BMW Group and Daimler AG have a combined customer base of 60 million. Their vision for future mobility is an all-electric, self-driving fleet of vehicles that charge and park autonomously. While we’re not there yet, that’s clearly what auto visionaries see. BMW Group and Daimler AG expect to be working together on more joint mobility services.
