Following a temporary halt, Ford has re-opened orders for their all-electric Mustang Mach-E.

With the opened order banks comes updated pricing and an increased range for the Premium Extended Range model. New MSRPs will go into effect across the Mach-E lineup on August 30th.

Depending on trim, the Mach-E will cost an extra $3,000-$8,000. The entry-level Mach-E is the Select RWD Standard Range, now starting at $46,895 before destination charges– a $3,000 increase from before. The increased sticker prices are, according to Ford, due to “significant material cost increases, continued strain on key supply chains, and rapidly evolving market conditions.” Mach-E pricing will continue to be monitored throughout the model year.

Fortunately, the Mach-E is also getting some welcomed additions. First off, Premium all-wheel drive models configured with the Extended Range battery will now reach an EPA-estimated range of 290 miles, 13 miles more than before. Ford CoPilot360, the Blue Oval’s suite of driver assist technology, is now standard for all models, and Select-trimmed models will get a complimentary 90-day trial period of BlueCruise, Ford’s hands-free driving system. GT and GT Performance Editions now come standard with a panoramic fixed-glass roof.

The new Mustang “Nite Pony Package” will also be optionable for Premium Extended Range and GT Performance Edition models. Premiums will ride on a set of black 19-inch wheels while rocking a black front and rear lower fascia, matching mirror caps and door cladding. The GT Performance Edition gets 20-inch wheels and a black GT badge, too. The Nite Pony is available with any exterior color, including two new options: Dark Matter Gray Metallic and Iced Blue Silver Metallic.

These changes will go into effect this fall. Anyone who has an unscheduled 2022 model year order will receive a private offer to convert over to a 2023 model.

Here at MotorWeek, we found the Ford Mustang Mach-E to be an impressive EV when it arrived on the scene– so much so that it took the gold in our 2021 Drivers’ Choice Awards for “Best of the Year.”
