Ford has opened up orders for the 2022 Mustang Mach-E electric SUV; along with the new model year comes new packages, new colors and updated batteries.

The E-SUV’s entry level trim, the “Select” model, has a starting MSRP of $44,995 before any eligible government incentives. This model can be finished in the Grabber Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange metallic paint options, now available for all models. A new color, Iced Blue Silver Metallic, also joins the lineup.

The Select, available as either rear or all-wheel drive, is only produced as the standard range model. These now come with a 70 kWh battery; an increase from the original 68 kWh battery. EPA-estimated ranges have not yet been officially disclosed.

Extended range models benefit from an 91 kWh battery, improved from the original 88 kWh battery. This is available on the Premium, GT, and California Route 1 package.

The Premium model can now be equipped with the Ice White Edition Appearance package. Finished in Star White paint, this special package includes Oxford White-accented wheels, badges and fender arches. The interior is crafted from a gloss-white dashboard and Oxford White steering wheel badge. Premium models start at $50,200; the Ice White package adds an additional $1,195.

California Route 1 models are now available in either RWD or AWD, only with the extended range battery. Ford claims the Route 1 model in RWD configuration has an estimated range of 314 miles. Heated seats and steering wheel are now standard on the Route 1 package, along with unique low-gloss wheels with special aero covers. Mach-E GT and GT Performance editions now see the black painted roof as standard.

California Route 1 models start at $53,875 and the GT starts at $63,095; Performance Edition GT’s add an additional $6,000.
