A parade of electric vehicles passed by during press days at the Geneva International Motor Show. The excitement about future mobility is only ramping up from there. Porsche says more than 20,000 people have already registered to join a list of prospective buyers for their new Taycan. The interest is leading them to increase their production capacities.
Their first electric sports car hasn’t even made its public debut yet, but we know it’s evolving out of the Mission E concept unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Porsche says it will have a range of more than 310 miles, and capable of being charged for 62 miles of range in just 4 minutes. EV’s in general bring a lot of torque, and since this is a Porsche, they say we can expect 0 to 62 mph in “considerably less” than 3.5 seconds.
The Porsche Taycan will have its debut in September. Market launch is scheduled to take place before the end of the year.
