A Chinese automaker sees potential in the U.S.. Zotye USA will handle sales, distribution, parts and service for Zotye vehicles. The company’s first product for Americans will be an SUV. We’re still waiting to hear about the specific model. The plan calls for the vehicles to be designed, engineered and produced in China by Zotye Automobile International Co. Zoyte already sells vehicles in China and other markets.
Zotye USA will be based in Lake Forest, California. Senior Vice President of Sales for Zotye USA will be Bob Pradzinski, the former Vice President of Sales at Hyundai Motor America. They’re putting together a dealer network in the U.S. and hope to begin sales in 2020. Another Chinese automaker with their sights set on the U.S. is GAC. The high end Chinese manufacturer plans to start selling the GS8 midsize utility here next year.
