Chevrolet’s sixth-generation Camaro is finally on its way out. To celebrate the final year of production, Chevy has revealed a limited run Collector’s Edition, available on all trims.

The special edition contains numerous “Panther” references, commemorating the original internal code name for the Camaro. The ZL1 Collector’s Edition will come with Panther Black Matte paint, the first matte paint offered on a factory Camaro, while all other trims come in Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat.

Either paint is accented by Satin Black stripes and various darkened components. Continuing the feline references, all Collector’s Edition Camaros will have a panther integrated into the “Camaro” logo on the front fenders, and a panther on the steering wheel logo. The ZL1 receives the ZL1 1LE’s front splitter and rear wing (the latter only on coupes). All other trims include 20-inch satin black or polished forged wheels, the front splitter from the SS 1LE package, and, on coupes, the rear spoiler from the ZL1.

In addition to the car, Collector’s Edition buyers will also receive two Camaro posters and a special Camaro watch. Made by Shinola, the 45mm watch will have a serial number matching the customer’s individual car and, you guessed it, a panther engraved on the band.

When the sixth-generation Camaro came out in 2016, it won MotorWeek’s Driver’s Choice Award for Best Sport Coupe. We were equally happy with the later ZL1 model, calling it “an easy to love, complete track package.”
