Cadillac’s Upcoming 2023 Escalade-V Pops and Gurgles in Teaser Video
Cadillac has published a short teaser video of the 2023 Escalade-V SUV, headlined by a shot of the rear valence and underscored by the sounds of its tuned exhaust.
The short video provides audible foresight into the vehicle’s performance foundation. While the beats of award-winning producer and artist Maffio are catchy, we wish we could listen to the Escalade-V’s exhaust solo. We can’t confirm which powertrain is causing the ruckus through video alone, but it’s safe to assume the V will utilize the current Escalade’s 6.2-liter V8 engine.
We recently reported on the Escalade-V’s first big tease and, while exact performance figures are yet to be disclosed, we expect it to receive all the same attention the V-Series is known for: unique styling, enhanced performance and a mesmerizing soundtrack defined by the pops and gurgles of a sport-tuned exhaust. The 2023 Escalade-V will be the first SUV to bear the V-Series namesake.
Cadillac’s V-Series line is said to be “the ultimate expression of Cadillac design, performance and technology and the purest expression of the passion that exists at the core of the Cadillac brand.”
We recently had the opportunity to test Cadillac’s CT5-V Blackwing at Roebling Raceway, Georgia; powered by a supercharged V8, it made for an exhilarating experience around the track. Its twin-turbo V6-powered brother, the CT4-V Blackwing, recently stopped by the studio for its own time in the spotlight. We’ll have a Quick Spin on it soon, but for now we can concur that the V-Series treatment injects a healthy dose of adrenaline into a seemingly unlikely candidate-- and we love it. And, yes, the exhaust on both of those cars is equally harmonious. In fact, we were so admonished with GM’s foray into the performance saloon segment, the V-Series Blackwings raced away with our 2022 Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Sport Sedan.
Stay tuned for more information on the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V when it makes its full reveal on May 11th, and check your local listings for this week’s Track Test of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing!
