If you’re hoping to put a new truck in your driveway next year, you’re not alone.
The National Automobile Dealers Association expects most buyers will choose a truck in the coming year. In fact, they predict light-truck sales will continue to lead the way, making up 60-percent of the market in 2017.
NADA chief economist Steven Szakaly forecasts sales of 17.1 million new cars and light trucks in 2017.
While interest rates remain a topic of speculation, there are some things working in favor of buyers. The NADA says the new year is expected to bring more incentives from automakers and gas prices at less than $2 a gallon for regular.
So it could be a little easier to make the monthly payment and fill up at the pump, no matter what you decide to buy next year.
