There’s more buzz surrounding the new BMW 8 series. Last week we told you BMW is planning to launch production of a new 8 Series Coupe next year. Engineers are also working on an M model and a race-spec BMW M8 GTE. No pictures on the racing version yet. Its race debut will be at Daytona 24 Hours in January. Right now the company is showing a camouflaged prototype of the M8.
Location. Location. Location. It not only applies to real estate, but also car insurance. CarInsurance.com looked at car insurance rates for a 2016 Honda Accord in nearly all ZIP codes in the U.S for this study. They found the most expensive place to insurance a car is Detroit, Michigan. The cheapest: Fremont and Coldwater, Ohio. The analysts also found rates can vary within a zip code. The point: shop around.
Toyota is peering into the future of driving. The company has formally launched a five-year, $35 million research program. It will focus on autonomous and connected vehicle technologies the industry will face during the next decade. Toyota’s Collaborative Safety Research Center has completed 44-research projects during the past 6 years.
