Mercedes-Benz is about to reveal a new mid-size pick-up truck. We first saw the X-Class concept last year. The company has said it’s only going to Europe, South Africa, Australia and Latin America. A small cat is growing Jaguar’s PACE line-up. The company is introducing the Jaguar E-PACE. Gas or diesel engines will power the compact performance SUV. Transmission choices are a 9-speed automatic or 6-speed manual. The E-PACE made a dramatic world premier with a Guinness World Record for the furthest barrel roll in a production vehicle. This is Jaguar’s third SUV.
Volvo is making a big commitment to electric powered vehicles. The premium car maker has announced every Volvo it launches from 2019 will have an electric motor. Their strategy includes fully electric cars, plug-in hybrid cars and mild hybrid cars. Volvo says they’ll bring five fully electric cars to the market between 2019 and 2021. Two of them will be from their performance division Polestar. Recently, France announced it wanted to end gas and diesel cars sales by 2040.
