2024 Cadillac XT4 Refresh Features More Luxury and Tech
Cadillac has pulled back the curtains on the XT4 utility, refreshed for the 2024 model year with more luxury and tech.
The updates are said to more closely mirror the LYRIQ electric utility and Escalade full-size SUV, a telling sign of what kind of luxury the XT4 is packing. On top of that, the XT4 also features a front and rear design update.
Starting with the basics, the XT4 is available in three trims: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. Standard in all of them is a new 33-inch LED display, inspired by the unit found in the LYRIQ. It serves as the interface for a new Virtual Cockpit System, providing infotainment and connectivity features. Google Assistant is built-in, as is wireless smartphone integration.
Trim selection will dictate which interior decor is used to garnish the cabin. For example, the Luxury model features Piano Black appointments with laser etching, whereas the Premium Luxury can feature either real wood or aluminum, depending on cabin color. The Sport can also get genuine wood, though carbon fiber is also available– again, cabin color dependent.
Outside, the biggest shakeup is the new front fascia, featuring a prominent grille reinterpreting the Cadillac chevron design. The front also sees Cadillac’s vertical signature lighting, meshing with the new headlights and daytime runners. Some details and accents are trim exclusive, like the Premium Luxury’s grille, wheels and fascia. Three new exterior colors– Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic and Deep Sea Metallic– also enter the lineup.
All models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, capable of 235 horsepower and paired up to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front- and all-wheel drive is available. All models feature over a dozen standard safety and driver assistance features, like Blind Zone Steering Assist and Lane Keep Assist.
No pricing details have been announced yet, but we’ll have a better idea as we get closer to its expected summer launch. Production will take place at GM’s Fairfax Assembly facility in Kansas.
