Kia has released pricing details regarding the 2023 Carnival multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), boasting a starting price of $33,935.

That entry fee is for the base LX, one of five available configurations, and includes the Carnival’s $1,335 destination charge. Other models include the LX Seat Package, the EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

The base LX comes with LED lighting, rear passenger air conditioning and power sliding rear doors. Infotainment is carried out by an 8-inch touchscreen, housing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The LX is capable of seating seven occupants; stepping up to the Seat Package grants eight seats at a starting cost of $35,935 (again, with destination).

More premium amenities can be found in the EX, which rides on 19-inch wheels and includes a Smart Power Tailgate. The interior still seats eight, but now includes Tri-Zone Auto Climate Control, and second and third row integrated window shades. The EX also upgrades the infotainment system to a 12.3-inch display with navigation, and throws in wireless device charging and a Wi-Fi hotspot for good measure. An in-cabin intercom is also standard, as is Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality. The EX is available as one trim, starting at $39,435.

The final trim is the SX, available also as the SX Prestige. The SX builds off of the EX with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel integrated with the aforementioned 12.3-inch infotainment display. It also adds roof rails and black exterior trimmings on the outside, and optional dual screen rear seat entertainment and streaming on the inside. The SX Prestige goes all-out with dual sunroofs and a heated steering wheel, among other amenities, but does return to the seven-seat interior layout-- the second row can be optioned out as slide-flex VIP Lounge seats. The SX and SX Prestige start at $42,635 and $47,035 respectively.
