Toyota Tundra 1794 Limited Edition Adds Off-Road Lift and Special Leather– Yeehaw!
September 29, 2023While the name might pay homage to the ranch that Toyota’s San Antonio Tundra plant is built on, the 1794 Tundra is by no means outdated. The third-gen Tundra is quite the modern foundation, with the 1794 grade bringing a healthy dose of luxury and style; and now for 2024, it’s getting a new Special Edition treatment with a greater emphasis on off-road capabilities.
The 2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Limited Edition is a right at the cusp of being a mouthful. In exchange for having to recite the slightly elongated name, buyers of this 1,500-unit run of Tundras will get to boast additional off-road capabilities, a unique interior and a standard i-FORCE MAX powertrain.
Starting with those overlanding goodies, the 1794 Limited Edition comes packaged with an upgraded FOX suspension setup, using internal bypass shocks with piggyback reservoirs. The Limited Edition rides with a 1.1-inch lift, as well as an “off-road inspired” set of wheels and tires, carrying the standard Crew Max body and 5.5-foot bed. Under the hood, Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX powertrain is standard, outputting 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque to the four-wheel drive system.
The interior of the 1794 was already a step up from the Tundra’s standard digs. The saddle brown leather interior and wood-grain trimmings certainly give the vibe of a pioneer’s wagon, but the 20-inch alloy wheels and 14-inch infotainment screen are purely modern. Unique premium leather upholstery, devised in a collaboration between Toyota and the Saddleback Leather Company, wraps the Limited Edition’s cabin, joined by several SLC accessories– an overnight bag, tool roll, owner’s portfolio, a small pouch and a key FOB glove.
Outside, the 1794 Limited Edition can be finished in Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, Blueprint or Smoked Mesquite. The primary color of choice will be contrasted or complimented by a dark chrome grille and side moldings, accompanied by stealthy black accents. The uniquely stamped tailgate tells onlookers what it is, and the embossed label on the inside tells owners which number of 1,500 it is.
Prospective buyers can expect the 2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Limited Edition to arrive on dealership lots in the spring of 2024 for a yet-to-be-confirmed price. For the record, a 2024 Tundra 1974 Edition configured with the i-FORCE MAX four-wheel drive powertrain and the 5.5-foot bed will start at $71,255 with delivery, so you can expect the Limited Edition to fetch a few more simoleons once on sale.
