The North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards have announced their 2025 winners at a press conference at the Detroit Auto Show, with the gold going to the Honda Civic Hybrid, Ford Ranger and Volkswagen ID. Buzz.

The Honda Civic Hybrid (205 votes), which we’ll feature in an upcoming Road Test, was up against the Kia K4 (165) and Toyota Camry (130); the Ford Ranger (183 votes) triumphed over the Ram 1500 (161) and Toyota Tacoma (156); and the Volkswagen ID. Buzz (187 votes) won out against the Hyundai Santa Fe (185) and Chevrolet Equinox (128). Looking at the total tallies, no one vehicle ran away in their respective category.

Selected from nine finalists, these winners were chosen for their standout nature in a number of categories, voted on by 50 professional automotive journalists from a variety of backgrounds, including MotorWeek’s John Davis.
