The second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT is arriving this spring for the 2024 model year, starting at $136,050.

This cost of entry is for the lower of two trims, the AMG GT 55 Coupe, and includes the $1,150 destination charge. The next step up is the AMG GT 63 Coupe, boasting a $177,050 price tag.

That’s quite a fair gap in price between the trims, but so is the leap in performance. While both models are powered by a handcrafted, twin-turbo AMG 4.0-liter V8, the GT 55 puts out 469 horsepower, whereas the GT 63 is tuned to supply 577 horsepower. That said, both models benefit from standard 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, active suspension, rear-axle steering and active aero elements. The AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package comes standard, throwing in an electronic limited-slip rear differential and active engine mounts, joined by special a “RACE” drive mode.

Customers can select between 11 exterior paints, a number of 20- and 21-inch wheels, and a few other appearance packages. The AMG Night Package features blacked-out elements, including the AMG-specific grille, while an optional Carbon Fiber Package adds, you guessed it, various elements made of the titular material. The AMG Aerodynamics Package adds extra aero elements on the front air intakes, wheel arches and rear apron; also adding a larger rear diffuser panel in back, along with a fixed wing.

The cabin can be finished in nine different upholsteries, seven of which feature Nappa leather while the other two feature both Nappa leather and microfiber. AMG Performance Seats are optional, should high-speed driving be on the agenda– or you just really dig the look.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is expected to arrive this spring, and we look forward to getting behind the wheel soon after.
