Jeep has announced their plans to launch their first global battery-electric vehicles (BEV): The Wagoneer S, to be sold in the United States starting fall 2024.

The Jeep Wagoneer S is to be sold exclusively as a BEV, serving as the next stepping stone in the brand’s Zero Emission Freedom vision. Accompanying this news was a sole teaser image and a rather artsy YouTube Short.

Details on the Wagoneer S are sparse, but we have been given a small taste of what this new BEV intends on serving the Jeep crowd. Underneath its self-described “sleek” exterior is a powertrain capable of 600 horsepower and a 0-60 time of roughly 3.5 seconds. If you know Jeep, then you know their electrified 4×4 system has been redubbed “4xe,” and it’s very much present here in the S, featuring all-terrain management and “brand-focused” technology. And, of course, plenty of LED lighting, here comprising the iconic seven-slot grille.

We expect more details surrounding the Jeep Wagoneer S relatively soon. And we also expect to see more electric and electrified products coming from Stellantis as they continue their “Dare Forward” initiative, a long-term strategic plan aiming for net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.
