The Raptor-ized versions of Ford’s Bronco and Ranger are built for high-speed off-road rambles; and if that happens to be the reason you purchased one of these Baja blasters, you might just be interested in new Ford Performance calibrations that uptick torque and horsepower for either.

The Ranger Raptor sees the largest leaps, with torque and horsepower climbs to 536 lb-ft and 455 horsepower, substantial gains over the stock 430 lb-ft and 405 HP. The Bronco Raptor is increased to the same total output, rising from a stock 440 lb-ft and 418 HP.

This calibration is said to improve throttle response and optimize the transmission’s shift schedule. That 10-speed unit is bolted up to a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, the only way both these Raptors are configured. Those interested in souping up their ride can expect a fee of $825, payable with Ford Pass Rewards points, and can be installed by a local dealership. Perhaps best of all, this power adder meets Ford’s durability standards, meaning the vehicle warranty (three years, 36,000 miles) applies.

That price can be discounted for individuals who attend the Raptor Rally at the Ford Performance Racing School in Fairfield, Utah. Attendees to the event, scheduled for September 21, will receive a 20% coupon, good for the calibration tool and other accessories purchasable on the Ford performance parts website. As for the Rally itself, those looking to attend will need to cough up $500 for the event; and for that price of admission, Raptor owners will undergo a variety of off-road experiences, workshops, expert instruction and more.

The calibration tool can be purchased on the Ford Performance site— just keep in mind that it is vehicle specific.
