Remember how Dodge bid farewell to the Charger and Challenger last year? A big part of that year-long celebration was the “Last Call” initiative. Along with all 2023 units receiving special, commemorative plaques and designations, a percentage of them were built as official “Last Call” special editions. These models were uniquely tailored to stand apart from the rest, sometimes paying homage to Dodge’s muscle car history.

Well, judging by the title you can infer what we’re going to say next: 2024 marks the final year of the HEMI V8-powered Dodge Durango; and that means a series of “Last Call” tribute models are slated for 2025 model year production, the first of which named “AlcHEMI.”

Dodge Durango HEMI Receives “Last Call” Treatment; “AlcHEMI” First Up

Limited to just 1,000 units, AlcHEMI’s numbers will be split in quarters among four possible exterior colors: Diamond Black, Destroyer Gray, Vapor Gray and White Knuckle. Each of these rides on 20×10 satin black SRT wheels, behind which are contrasting yellow Brembo brakes. The black and yellow theme carries across the design, from the honeycomb grille to the “392” fender decals. The interior bears the same theme, composed of leather, suede and plenty of forged carbon fiber bits. Assembly of this first special edition starts in April, with dealership arrivals expected in May.

AlcHEMI is based on the SRT 392 premium, which alone commands a starting price of $87,795 with Dodge’s $1,595 destination charge attached. That may be a hard pill to swallow; but fortunately, the AlcHEMI wizardry only tacks on an additional $3,595 to the MSRP. There’s no bump in engine performance here, but the 475 horsepower 6.4-liter HEMI really doesn’t need one, in our opinion.

Though if you need more– say, 710 horsepower– you can still pick up a Durango Hellcat with the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI. We expect details regarding at least one special edition Last Call Hellcat will surface soon enough. Of course, you can still pick up a “normal” HEMI Durango for now, should the special edition frills not quite satisfy you. In either case, if you’ve been in the market for one of these HEMI haulers, now’s your chance.
