The long awaited return of the Volkswagen bus, revived for 2025 as the all-electric ID. Buzz, has been officially valued at $61,545.

That is the starting price for the ID. Buzz Pro S, the entry-level, rear-wheel-drive model, and includes VW’s $1,550 destination charge. The Pro S is followed by the Pro S Plus, starting at $65,045 when equipped with a single rear motor and $69,545 with 4Motion all-wheel drive configured; and a launch-exclusive 1st Edition, available in either RWD or AWD and starting at $67,045 and $71,545 respectively.

Rear-wheel drive models, regardless of trim, are EPA estimated to reach 234 miles on a full charge, with all-wheel drive units coming in close at 231 miles; all powered by a 91 kWh battery, gross capacity. Those looking at the base model can expect seating for up to seven passengers, a 12,9-inch infotainment screen and a 5.3-inch digital instrument panel, along with three-zone climate controls, ventilated front seats and heated outboard second row seats. The Pro S Plus comes standard with the same seating configuration on RWD models, with second-row captain’s chairs available, bringing occupancy down to six. All-wheel drive models come standard with said captain’s chairs, also packaging a heated windshield.

All Pro S Plus models come with a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a head-up display and manually-retracted tow hitch. The 1st Edition comes in one of five two-tone exterior paint schemes, matched by a “Dune” colored interior, with 20-inch wheels mounted down low and roof rails with crossbars mounted up high. Also included standard is an electrochromic panoramic smart glass roof, a $1,495 option on the Pro S Plus. Rear-driven 1st Editions are configured with bench seating, while all-wheel-drive models are captain’s chairs only.
