2024 Nissan Kicks Starts at $22K
September 21, 2023The days of the sub-$20,000 car are mostly gone, but there are still new vehicles appearing on dealer lots that stay close to that number. One of them is the 2024 Nissan Kicks, which boasts a starting price of $22,125.
That’s the lowest starting price offered for the Kicks, netting an entry-level S model and including Nissan’s $1,335 destination charge. This is only a small increase over the 2023 model, which started at $21,925 with the same destination charge applied.
The Kick S includes a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay integration, plus a few standard safety features, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a lane departure warning and rear automatic braking. Under the hood is a 122 horsepower 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, paired up to an Xtronic CVT.
Stepping up to the SV trim will cost a few more simoleons, starting at $23,985 with delivery included. The SV throws in 17-inch alloy wheels, intelligent cruise control and a 7-inch Drive-Assist Display paired off with a slightly larger 8-inch touchscreen. The top-trim Kicks SR will start just a few bones higher at $24,685. The SR is said to be a little sportier; however, this is not in regards to the powertrain, which remains unaltered from the previous two grades. Instead, the SR packages LED headlights and fog lights on the outside, while the inside includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and orange accent stitching. An available SR Premium Package retails for $1,390, and outfits the Kicks with a Bose 8-speaker sound system, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, among other features.
The EPA estimates 31 city/36 Highway/33 Combined fuel economy, so the gasoline-conscious should be moderately pleased with its performance. We expect to see the 2024 Nissan Kicks arriving anytime now; however, finding a 2023 on the lot will grant you a largely similar experience. And when we tested the Nissan Kicks in 2021, we agreed that it checked off the most important boxes for buyers in the small urban crossover segment. And with a price like that, it certainly remains an attractive offer.
