There’s a lot more to having a nice garage than just a fancy toolbox. Now we outfitted Goss’ garage with equipment from Gladiator Garage Works.

The first thing that we did was covered our walls with their material. It’s called Gear Wall. Now Gear Wall is a composite. It’s easy to saw. It’s easy to install. It’s also tongue in groove so it has a lot of strength once it’s installed on the wall. With the notches that are built into it, there’s a whole bunch of accessories that can be added to it to hang just about anything you might want. If you see here, we have baskets, we have shelves, we have hooks. It’s really impressive.

In addition to that, we used their wood top workbenches, which they’re very sturdy and well built, also their gear boxes. Now these fit underneath the cabinets. Now this is pretty slick, because you can get them with drawers or doors, whichever you prefer, but they’re on rollers so you can roll them out, and you can get them with wooden tops. So you can roll it out into the shop and you can use it as a portable workbench.

We also used their gear cabinets. Now the gear cabinets mount on the wall. Now they can be mounted onto the gear wall using hangers that are available, or they can be bolted directly to your existing walls if you elect not to use the gear wall. All right, very nice stuff.

Now, all garages need a vise, or in some cases they may need multiple vises. Now what we’re talking about here, you know you’ve got the traditional vise, big, heavy, kind of ugly looking. Well, you don’t always need something like that, and that’s where PanaVise comes into play. PanaVise has a whole series of vises with interchangeable bases. Like this one is a vacuum base, so if you have a smooth top, you can draw it right down on it and you can move it anyplace you want. Here’s one that gets bolted in place, and the tops of them are interchangeable as well. They have soft jaws for some of them, so that if you have something delicate that you want to hold, it will do it, and it’s just a helping hand. It really does a good job.
