This time, I’ve got a couple of new products; both are safety related – one, relative to driving in general. The other is safety related to driving the vehicle itself. Now, we’re going to start with this Philips daytime running light kit. As LED lights, either 4 or 8 built into a strip as we see here; now, this is easy to install, which is good because some of these things can be really obnoxious. Now, the way this one works is it has a bracket that you mount to the front of the car. In other words, if you wanted to put it in the grill of this car, you would mount the bracket right here, then the light just simply snaps into that bracket. You do just like that. Now, it is in place; it isn’t going to fall off, yet you could take it off if you wanted to. It has complete controls, it works automatically, very very easy to install, and adds that extra margin of safety because let’s face it, daytime running lights do help prevent accidents. So, if you car doesn’t have them or you simply want the look, this is a good way to do it.

Now, something else that we find is these air bands and various plastic pieces under the front of the car are often damaged in parking. You know, you have those triangular concrete things. It’s easy to go over them; well, when you come off, it tears this stuff apart. See, you look at the front bumper on this car, it’s all torn up from hitting things like that. Well, here we have curb alert. This is a sensor that gets mounted to the underside of the front bumper, like this. Now, it comes with a control unit that goes under the hood or inside the car, and inside the car it has this speaker. So when you get close to one of these objects, it beeps at you to tell you, ‘hey dummy, time to hit the brakes.’ So, it helps to prevent all of this damage that we see on cars these days. And some of it, it can lead to overheating because air doesn’t flow properly – and no matter what, it’s costly to repair.
